Prolog

     When a war had broken out between man and Darkness, the Spirits did their best to stop it.  The Avatar lead the war in the physical world, and the Spirits lead in the Spirit world.  The Darkness was winning and they needed help.
     The Spirits combined their power and created a powerful keystone.  They called the Avatar, and gave him the keystone.  They told him it could go to different dimensions and time streams.  Its power was great and not to let it fall into the wrong hands.
     The Avatar used power to enter another world, he pleaded for help.  Few joined, thinking he was some wack job trying to escape reality.  Eventually he found a group of people who would help him.  They gave him their most powerful warriors.  He returned and defeated the darkness.
     To show his thanks he gave them the keystone to the warriors.  He told them if they ever needed any help to come and ask.  The warriors built a shrine for the keystone and to honor their new friend the Avatar.  They never called on the Avatar, and over time they died out.  The keystone was left in the shrine along with a palate.  It warned any one who found it that the Darkness would raise again.
     Thousands of years later and some one found the shrine and its treasures. The keystone and palate were placed in museums all over the world.   No one ever decoded the palate, and the warning left to be found out.

                                                  Chapter 1:  The Keystone

     It had been a busy day for the Teen Titans.  They had fought villain after villain, stopping them all, of course.  They finally came home and were out right exhausted.
     “Dude, I’m beat,” Beast boy said falling over the sofa.
     “You said it B.B.  But we really kick some mega bad guy butt.” Cyborg said
     “Good work Titans.  Now lets get some rest.”  Robin said.
     “Oh, friends.  Let us watch a movie.  We can eat the sweats and iced cream.”  Starfire said.
     “Fine by me.”  Raven said reading her book.
     They fought over which movie to watch, Raven was the only one who stayed out of it, still reading her book.  Starfire wanted to watch a documentary on Tofu.  Beast Boy wanted some old cheesy comedy, Cyborg wanted a sci-fi.  Robin jumped on an action movie.  The alarm sounded and the room flashed red.
     “Titans move.” Robin said as everyone but Beast Boy rushed out the door.
     “Not again.”  Beast Boy complained as he came running out of the room.

    Everything was quiet in the museum.  Two guards lay on the ground unable to move.  A man dressed in an all black robe, black coat, and black hair, everything about him was black, walked by them.  He stood in front of a case, which had a colorful stone in it.
     “Found you,” he said.  His hand phased through the glass.  The stone glowed shocking him on the hand.  “That hurt, the Spirits toke security into thought.”
     “Your hand won’t be the only thing hurting.”  Robin said from behind him.
     “Ah, the Teen Titans, it an honor to met you.  Names Shuzlo and I am afraid I have to end you!”  The man turned around sending a ball of black fire and energy.
     “Move,” Robin yelled.  The Titans split in all different directions.
     Starfire throw her starbolts at him, when the dust cleared Shuzlo came flying towards her.  He grabbed her hand, throwing her to the ground.  He came down to land on her, but Cyborg shot him into the wall.  Beast Boy turned into a tiger and ran towards him.  Shuzlo made a huge force field around him and Beast Boy ran right into it head first.
     “Azarth metrion zinthos,” Raven said.  The swords and heavy objects turned black and shoot towards Shuzlo.
     Shuzlo moved out of the way only to be kicked in the face by Robin.  Robin and Shuzlo fought matching each others moves.  Robin managed to get him cornered and the Titans made a circle around the corner.
     “So you cornered me, smart!  I know when I’m beat.  Till we meet again Titans,”  Shuzlo said.  He turned into a cloud of black smoke.
     “Yeah!  We won, can we go home now?”  Beast Boy said, already walking out of the room.
     “What was he after?”  Robin asked, as Raven dragged Beast Boy back in.
     “He seemed to want that stone.”  Starfire said.
     “We know that, but what is it?” Raven asked.
     “Maybe I can help answer that question,”  Said a voice form the shadows.  The Titans screamed, rushing together.  When a small old man came into the light laughing, they relaxed.  The old man walked over case with the stone in it.  “There’s a legend behind this stone and its on that palate,” he said pointing to a rock with weird symbols on it.  “Only no one can read it.”
     “I have seen these symbols before,” Raven said walking over to the old man.
     “Great so you can read it ,” Beast Boy said. “Can we please go home now?”
     “NO” Everyone yelled at Beast Boy.
     “I can read if I had it in front of me” Raven said.
     “Can we take the stone and palate back with us,” Robin asked.
     “Sure, but be careful  it very valueable,”  The old man said.  “Better your place than here.”

     Raven had brought a huge pile of books into the main room.  The palate stood on the kitchen counter.  Before anyone could do any thing else, Raven ordered them to help her.
     “Raven, I can’t read any thing in this book,” Beast Boy complained.  “Who rights like this, any way?”
     “They were called the Elemao,” Raven said.
     “So you think this books will help us figure out what that says.”  Robin said.  Raven nodded.
     “In this book it says the Elemao were a group of very strong warriors.  They were considered supernatural.  They built a shine and hide a keystone inside it.  And there’s a picture too.” Starfire said turning around the book revealing the picture of the stone from the museum.
     “So it’s a key, but to what?”  Cyborg said.
     Raven was leaning over the palate and keystone.  She was trying to translate it.  “What’s the Avatar?” She asked.
     “I don’t know,” Beast Boy said.
     “I have never heard of something with that name.”  Starfire said.
     “Any way, I know what it says.” Raven said as everyone rushed over.
     “What does it say, Raven?” Cyborg asked.
     “When the Avatar’s world was under attacked by the Darkness, the Avatar was sent to this world.  He plead for help and only the Elemao gave it.  They gave their strongest warriors and the Avatar toke them back to his world and defeated the Darkness.  The Darkness vowed to came back and take both world.  The Avatar gave the Elemao the keystone as thanks, telling them if they ever needed help to come and ask it.  He told them to keep it safe.”  Raven read.
     “Oh, look in this book it says the Avatar is the master of all four elements.  There’s a map too, it could be the Avatar’s world.” Beast Boy said.  Everyone was surprised he actually found something useful for once.  “Hey I can find thing to.’
     “Ok, so we know what the key was used for.  How do we use it though?” Robin said, holding the keystone in front of his face.
     The keystone stared to glow very bright.  Robin dropped the keystone, blinded by the light.  Suddenly they started to sink into the floor.  Raven grabbed the stone before light shoot every where.  All 5 Titans disappeared from the room.
